Our Story

Recently we were asked to share the story of how vaccines altered our lives.  I was happy to be interviewed.  Before the story aired I was nervous, anxious, and all together a stress case.  I knew that I would be talking about a hot topic and I was fully aware that there would be some back lash.  I didn't know how much but I knew there would be some.  After the story aired I was a bit frustrated.  I didn't feel like I was portrayed in a way that made any sense.  There were facts that didn't get said in the clip and things I wished would have been worded differently.  SO I've decided to share our full story.
Here is the KSL 5 story.

Facts that weren't stated or portrayed wrong

1-We have one child who is fully vaccinated.  He will always be fully vaccinated.  We feel his body is able to handle the vaccines and they do more good than harm for him.

2-At 12 months Jaxson had an allergy test done.  It stated that he was allergic to dairy, soy, and coconut.  At 24 months when they preformed another allergy test he tested allergic to dairy, soy, coconut, peanuts, cats, dogs, and chemicals (fermaldahyde, ethelyne glycol, sucrose, sulfate, organophosphates, pyrethroids, piperonly butoxide).  The allergies to peanuts, cats, dogs, and chemicals were the ones we were unaware of.

3-We talked extensively with an immunologist and he is the one who linked vaccines to the problems that Jaxson was having.

4-Jaxson has never, nor will ever be diagnosed with Autism. While the story didn't say this people who commented on it seem to think that is what I was alluding to.  Nope, not at all.  He lost his ability to speak, not his ability to interact with others.  His injuries from the vaccines correlate with Apraxia.

5-In my research and case studies I found a doctor that was willing to talk with me.  He was willing to share his experience in the medical world and share with me his opinions on what happened to Jaxson AFTER viewing his medical record.

6-During the time Jaxson was having diarrhea he was also vomiting.  The problem was that his vomit was the consistency of oatmeal.  After talking with a GI doctor he informed us that the peristalsis in Jaxson's body had stopped working.  Basically his body wasn't able to digest the food so it was creating the juices to do it and then he would have to throw it all up.  They didn't have a solution to get his body to work right.  They literally looked at me like I was crazy when I asked how they would restart the peristalsis.

7-The reaction Jaxson had at 18 months wasn't his first.  After every dose of vaccines he was given he would spike a high fever.  He would have the fever for a few days and nothing would break it.  I was told that a fever was a normal reaction and to give him Tylenol and Motrin to help. None of it worked.  Looking back now that should have been my warning to stop.  After talking with the immunologist he confirmed that Jaxson having high fevers was his anaphylactic reaction to the vaccines.

Things that were stated right

1-No doctor can prove 100% that the vaccines caused this reaction in Jaxson.  They can't with any other vaccine injury because it didn't change the chemical make up of his body.  It didn't change his blood, and it didn't alter the formations of his body.  What it changed are how he communicates with the world.

2-Jaxson is currently in speach therapy through the state.  We have seen changes and it has helped.  Does he talk, no.

I want to correct a few people.

I am not out for money.  We are in the process of filling out all the paper work to report a vaccine injury however we are not asking for any type of financial payment.

I never once said that vaccines are bad.  I truly believe that children should be vaccinated on a case to case basis.  I believe that a mother has the ability to decide for her child what is best.

I have done hours and hours of research on what could have caused the reaction Jaxson had.  I was already keeping food logs (because of the allergies that we knew about) and I can show you that nothing changed other than the fact that he received 4 vaccines (Hep B, Hep A, IPV, Dtap).

And now to answer the questions that keep getting asked.

Why do you have one vaccinated child and the rest won't be?

This one is easy.  I adopted my oldest son when he was 2.  My husband was a single father when we met.  Cayden has never has never had a problem with Vaccines.  Ally never had a problem with vaccines (the child I placed for adoption at birth).  Bryer has never had a problem with vaccines that we know of (my step daughter).  There is just something about Daniel and I making a child together that created a problem.  Is there a possibility that it won't happen to our future children, yes.  Is there a possibility that it will, yes.

To those who say having a child who can't communicate or has diarrhea is much better than a child that gets polio, or dies from small pox I would like to say that you don't know my child.  Who is to say that the next dose of vaccines doesn't kill him.  There was recently a story in the news about a 19 year old who died from the flu vaccine (http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865591185/Utah-woman-claims-flu-shot-caused-teenage-sons-death.html?pg=all).  I truly believe that he did.  I hurt for his mother.  I can not explain the amount and type of guilt that I have felt with regards to Jaxson's vaccine injury.  There are many days where I wish more than anything I could hear him say "wub you".  I wish he could say his own name, his brothers name, his best friends name.  I wish, I wish, I wish.  How horrible is it as a mother to say that about your child.  I understand that the same can be said about your child dying from a disease that has a vaccine.  So before you go judging a mother who has made the choice to not vaccinate her child please stop.  There is a reason, you may not understand it, you may not like it, and you may not agree with it.  That doesn't matter.  It isn't your kid.  If you choose to vaccinate your children that is great.  Modern medicine is a great thing.  I am grateful for it and we use it when we need to.  My advice is to do your research.  Learn all you can about vaccines.  Know the possible side effects.  Understand the chemicals that are put in them and how the react in the body.  Knowledge is power.
