The flu
source |
The most common symptoms are chills, fever, sore throat, muscle pains, headache (often severe), coughing, weakness/fatigue and general discomfort.[1] Although it is often confused with other influenza-like illnesses, especially the common cold, influenza is a more severe disease caused by a different type of virus. source
Some of the best oils to use for the flu are...
Cinnamon, Thyme, Oregano, and Clove. These are all considered HOT oils and should be used with a carrier oil. They have the ability to kill bacteria and viruses. When in an acute condition (ie the flu) you can apply these oils, diluted with carrier oil, to your feet every 30 minutes.cinnamon bark |

Some other oils that are good to use are Lavender, Grapefruit, Angelica Root, Mountain Pine, Rose Geranium, Ravensara, Eucalyptus, Black Pepper, and Bay Leaf.
If you have stomach problems that come along with the other flu symptoms the best oils to use would be Peppermint and Yarrow.

For Muscle aches and pains the oils you want to go to first would be Black Pepper and Marjoram, Bay Leaf, Eucalyptus, and Cinnamon.
You can also use Aloevera Juice, Chamomile Tea, or Peppermint tea to help calm your aching stomach.
As always with the Flu remember to stay hydrated as much as possible. Stay away from food unless you are consuming fresh juices. Processed foods are only going to feed the virus and allow it to stay active in your body longer.
It is also a good idea to have a Foot Zone performed as the Zoning will correct your body to it's true form and help remove the virus and toxins more quickly.
